Marketing 101 stresses the importance of creating a powerful headline and corresponding copy. You can’t sell anything if your readers aren’t clear what you are offering and how it will benefit them. Your Internet income really boils down to two laws: make sure everything you write contains a powerful headline that states precisely what you are selling and a great reason why someone should buy, and the body must state the benefits from owning whatever you’re selling. People purchase benefits not features. You could talk to someone all day about the great hybrid feature of the new Toyota Prius, but if you don’t impress upon them about the incredible money savings/gas mileage or being environmentally-friendly because of your reduced oil needs, you will never convince them to buy.
To keep this principle as simple as possible, just ask your self why? If you write a headline claiming “our product is made using only all-natural ingredients” and ask yourself why, you realize that the sales pitch is missing. In order to get your target market’s attention, you must spell out what’s in it for them. So, consider a simple revision “enjoy increased vitality and health with our all-natural product” and watch your cash register fill.
